It&#8217;s important to be broad enough to apply to all event goers while also obtaining enough information to apply to future events.<\/p>\n<p>For your post-event evaluations, we recommend including the following questions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Overall, how would you rate the event?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Although this question is very general, it gives you a rough idea of how the event went for everyone. Make this question a rank 5 to\u00a0give attendees options.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Please rate the following aspects (Location, Vendors, Food, etc.) of the event:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Your event is made up by many parts and the best way to ensure all went\u00a0well is to ask about them. Have respondents rank specific\u00a0aspects that are relevant to your event on a scale of 1-5.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Was this the first time you attended one of our events?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Asking this will allow you to filter responses by first time vs. repeat attendees to gain a better understanding of who attended your event. This question\u00a0should be in a simple yes\/no\u00a0format.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>How likely are you to attend one of our future events?<br \/>\n<\/strong>This allows you to determine if your event was successful enough to entice future registration. Question should be rank 5 or agree\/disagree with multiple options.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>How do you think this event could have been improved?<\/strong><br \/>\nLast question for attendees to add any additional thoughts. A simple yes\/no format for responses will suffice.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Did you find the\u00a0content in this session to be\u00a0relevant and useful?<br \/>\n<\/strong>In addition to the speaker&#8217;s performance, you also need to ensure the content they are providing is useful to attendees. Similarly, a simple yes\/no format will suffice.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>What would have made this a more effective session for you?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Although the question is open ended, it can provide some vital insights you might not have otherwise thought of. Have the question in text input format to allow\u00a0participants to share their opinions.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Is there something else that we should know?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Last question for attendees to add any additional thoughts. The following question\u00a0should also be a\u00a0text input\u00a0for\u00a0attendees\u00a0to\u00a0express their thoughts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Additional Tips for Participation<\/h2>\n<p>Sometimes the biggest challenge of post-event evaluations is getting\u00a0people to fill them out.\u00a0If you are struggling with participation, here are a few additional tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As\u00a0with any survey, it&#8217;s important to keep it short. Nobody wants to spend more than a few minutes completing an evaluation.\u00a0We recommend about 5\u00a0questions for\u00a0each evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>You can also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/appnet-dev.com\/resultsathand\/blog\/rh-update-build-app-games\/\">entice participation with a raffle<\/a>. Anyone who submits their evaluations within 3 days after the event will be entered to win a gift card, membership discount for next year, or anything really.\u00a0Honestly, who doesn&#8217;t love free or discounted offers?<\/li>\n<li>Lastly, keep in mind which questions you require and which you don&#8217;t. Requiring an open ended question might\u00a0scare off some attendees and they&#8217;ll abandon the entire evaluation.
